Hi Paul

fyi - Dave (chaingang cycles) has made a fantastic job on one of your rr

frames - Alfine 11. The ride is really good and am very pleased. I know

it was windy yesterday, but was surprised how quiet it was. It is not

quite finished - still need to put my decent pedals on it and the bar

ends have been left open in case I need to trim them down a bit. It

looks so good I thought I would share some pictures........

Hi Richard,

It's me, the fussiest customer you ever met, remember ; )

Well, the frame was so accurately finished I didn't need to face the head tube or BB! Very pleased.

Here are some pics, sorry, I'm not much of a photographer.

I built my Escapade with Hope 4 hubs with Sapim race hand polished (by me) spokes and Hope Tech XC rims. Challenge Gravel Grinder tyres.

The groupset is Ultegra with hydro disc brakes. I always use a King headset and the finishing kit is Zipp Service Course SL. I fancy a Brooks Cambium saddle.., the one fitted is from my road bike.

I absolutely love the way it rides. Super comfortable on and off road.

For a comfy steel frame it's not at all whippy when climbing / sprinting either. Everything was so easy to fit too.. Headset and BB went in a treat and the accuracy of the frame being 'in line' exemplary. One of the best I've ever built for wheel being perfectly centred and in line. I've had really expensive frames in the past that are terrible in that department.

Please feel free to 'quite' me.

Thanks again for your supreme patience with me when I visited your workshop.

Say hello to the boss for me : )

All the best,

Hi to everyone at Cotic

After spending over a year with my Soul 275 i just wanted to let you all know what a great fun bike this is. I have loved riding everything from my local trails to Brechfa and many other locations across South Wales. The bike has performed brilliantly wherever i have taken it. I also want to say a big thank you for the customer service that i received from the first email to the delivery of my bike. In 2015 when I turned up for a Demo day very unfit and almost 2.5 hours late due to traffic problems you still let me go out and Demo the bike on a 1 to 1 basis. I doubt i would have received that level of customer service anywhere else. It is no wonder Cotic Bikes have such you have such a strong and loyal following.

Just thought you might like these.
Unfortunately not a great photo
Took this recently on a trip to Alice Spring in Central Australia, it normally resides in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia
The other was on the completion of the build
XT 11 speed and brakes
Rental Fatbar lite and Apex stem
KS Dropper (in one photo, not in the other as it has been quite unreliable!)
40mm (35mm internal) wide carbon rims of DT350 hubs
RS Pike set at 120mm now 130mm
The wide rims are great addition.

Great fun bike.

Thanks again to everyone at Cotic really love what you guys do!

Hi Paul,

Just thought I'd let you know that I'm loving the Escapade you sold me. It's the most comfortable road bike I've ridden and really quick too. Definitely a do it all bike even in the snow. It's certainly inspiring me to get out and train for my coast to coast trip in May. Here's a picture of the Escapade near high flats on the trans pennine trail.

Neil's BRG Soul build

Hi Paul,

Just a quick note to say thanks for the help and advice when I was deliberating over the new bike.

I finished building it last night and took it out for its maiden voyage this morning, taking in a good mix of climbs, flowing singletrack and techy descents. I'm really pleased with it - glad I went for the small. It's slightly roomier than my Nomad C, feels like a nice position to spend a good few miles in. It's the perfect size for me, I reckon. It rips along on the flat and certainly isn't shy going down hill. Dead chuffed with it.

Here's a couple of pics and a spec, feel free to use them as you see fit :)

Cotic Soul 27.5" Small

Rockshox Pike fork with modified air piston shaft to give 140mm travel

Easton Arc 27.5" rims with 30mm internal width

DT Comp spokes, DT alloy nipples

Hope Pro 2 hubs

Maxxis Shorty tyres, 2.3" width, 3C Exxo TR run tubless

Shimano XT 1x11 transmission, 11-42T cassette, 30T ring, 175mm cranks, GS cage mech

Hope X2 brakes, 183mm discs front and rear

Rockshox Reverb 125mm dropper post

Specialized Henge saddle

Easton Havoc bars, uncut

Thompson 50mm stem

Hope Grips

Thanks Again!
